Welcome
A warm welcome to St James’ Primary School. I am very proud to be the Headteacher at St James’, where you will find dedicated, innovative and skilled teachers, happy, successful and enthusiastic children alongside supportive and proud parents.
St James’ Primary is proud to be part of The Diocese of St. Albans Multi-Academy Trust. Our trust embraces our vision and values for each and every pupil and member of staff, to enable everyone to flourish and reach their full potential. At the heart of our work, we all strive for the best academic success and pupil outcomes.
At St James’ Primary, equality is very important to us and we feel that every child should feel safe, happy and confident, achieving successfully within a vibrant and stimulating community. We view our school as a garden and want everyone to flourish in their own unique way. We are one big family with a strong ethos of care, seeking to serve the wider world with kindness and compassion.
We pursue the highest academic standards to ensure all our children achieve their full potential, giving them firm foundations as they start their education. Providing them with a safe environment to take risks and push the limits, developing curiosity, resilience and perseverance. Through our exciting and motivating curriculum, our children soon develop a thirst for learning and want to achieve their very best. A beautiful rainbow watches over our school, reminding us we are all loved by God and by each other. St James' is a very special Church School. Every one of our children is special, and their welfare and learning is at the heart of everything we do.
